All Things Denote There Is a God – Alma 30:44

44 But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.

As Alma points out to Korihor in the passage above, it’s not hard to find miracles in our lives; we just need a little humility. As the Bible Dictionary explains:

Miracles should not be regarded as deviations from the ordinary course of nature so much as manifestations of divine or spiritual power (“Miracles,” Bible Dictionary).

With that description in mind, many of our daily experiences can be regarded as miracles, including the rising and setting of the sun and the regular beating of our hearts. As Dallin H. Oaks has taught:

Many miracles happen every day in the work of our Church and in the lives of our members. Many of you have witnessed miracles, perhaps more than you realize (“Miracles,” Ensign: June, 2001).

Today, I will recognize and be grateful for the miracles in my life. I will remember that I am surrounded every day by miraculous events.
